The subject related to development of CMM is very new in India and does not form the part of the curriculum of the most of the Indian universities. It was, therefore, considered as an important agenda point to impart training and the Clearinghouse/ CBM Cell of CMPDI has organized several training for in-house officials as well as officials from the outside company including few CBM operators in addition to one which was organized with GSI officials:
- Fundamental Aspects of Coalbed Methane
The Clearinghouse and Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSI-TI), Kuju, Hazaribagh, organized a 4 days training /workshop on Fundamental Aspects of Coalbed Methane”. 21 representatives from various other organization involved in the field of CBM/CMM development attended this workshop.
- Awareness on Coalbed Methane
A training programme on “Awareness on Coalbed Methane” was organized at CMPDI in July, 2011. The participants representing different CBM operators and coal companies of CIL attended the programme.
Several students from reputed Universities/Institutions continuously visits CMPDI/India CMM/CBM clearing house for training in various aspects of CBM/CMM development.
